“Normal life” before August 17th, 2019 >>>> We thought life was normal. Chris was working. Cee was not. She had to quit working years ago because of Lyme disease. We didn’t go out or do much. Her legs were so swollen and huge that she had trouble moving, getting into the car or going anywhere. We thought it was yet another miserable side effect of Lyme. But now her legs were so swollen that she was getting blisters on the back of her legs. One had ruptured and was oozing fluid, getting bigger every week. It was scary but we shrugged it off, accepting it as we had accepted so many of the ways in which Lyme had crippled our life together. We were just thankful that she was alive and her mind was bright and alert.
